Our
Goal is to provide fast, friendly, quality services to the
Tidewater area at affordable prices. Many attorneys will claim
that they offer "excellent" legal
services, but in reality they are no different than any other
lawyer. When you meet with us, our goal is to give you the
best legal advice possible; even if that means that we don't
get to represent you. In many cases that will mean that we
represent you in court, but in some cases we give you good
legal advice on how to solve the problem without litigation.
For example, many lawyers will "push"
their clients into a contested divorce or bankruptcy so that
they can charge legal fees. However, in some cases we will
offer our clients the opportunity to resolve their situation
with other opinions, for example, consolidation loans, payment
plans, settlements and more.

We
believe that everyone should be able to have an attorney represent
them in court. There is an old saying that rings true far
too often, "the man who represents himself in
court has a fool for a lawyer." Today this is
more true than ever, it is almost impossible to "cut
through all the red tape" without an exceptional attorney
by your side. What happens to those that can not afford an
attorney? We offer highly competitive prices and payment plans
for those seeking legal services. We offer free initial consultations
on most legal matters. We also offer trial preparation services
for those who wish to represent themselves. Our trial preparation
services would include consultations with an attorney, paralegal,
document preparation, and letter writing. This is a good way
to receive good legal advice without the expense of hiring
an attorney to go to court. |

Another
important aspect of our firm is quality service. Many firms
these days will have their client meet at "satellite"
offices that are only open one or two days a week, or even
worse, meeting with paralegals. Paralegals are an important
part of any practice, but they are not there to meet with
a client on an initial consultation to determine the course
of the client's legal representation. A paralegal works at
the direction of the lawyer, not the other way around. We
have friendly, caring paralegals to assist you, but they work
on your case after an attorney has had an opportunity to meet
with you and determine the nature of your legal needs. The
problem with "satellite" offices is they are very
convenient the first day you meet with the lawyer, but after
that the office is always closed and the lawyer is never around
to meet with you. We have three lawyers on staff and two offices,
not three offices and only two lawyers. |
